9jaBackstage is a platform operated by 9jaGlobal Media Limited, a company registered in Nigeria. We connect event organizers with backers who buy tickets in advance or pledge as sponsor partners.

We are a platform, not the event producer. The organizer is responsible for delivering the event they describe on their campaign page.

Every campaign sets one combined goal covering ticket pre-sales and sponsor pledges, and one deadline. Money you pay is collected and held; it is not released to the organizer while the campaign is still running.

If the goal is met at the deadline, the campaign is funded, pledges are captured, tickets are issued, and the organizer is paid the amount raised minus the platform fee shown on the campaign.

If the goal is missed, the campaign is not funded and every backer is refunded in full. See the Refund Policy for the detail.

You must give accurate information when you sign up, and keep your login details secure. One account can both host events and back other people's events.

Organizers must add verified payout bank details before a campaign can be submitted for review.

We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, misrepresents an event, or is used for fraud.

New campaigns are reviewed by our team before they go live. We may reject a campaign, with a reason sent to the organizer, and we may take down a live campaign that turns out to be misleading or unlawful.

Review is a basic quality and fraud check. It is not a guarantee that an event will be a success.

Deliver the event substantially as described, honour every ticket and sponsor perk sold, and keep backers informed through campaign updates.

Once a campaign goes live, the funding goal and deadline are locked and cannot be changed.

If a funded event is cancelled, the organizer is responsible for making backers whole and must contact us immediately.

9jaBackstage charges a platform fee on funds raised by a successfully funded campaign. The current fee is shown to the organizer before publishing and on the payout statement.

Payment processing is handled by Flutterwave and is subject to their charges.

No fraudulent, misleading, illegal, or unsafe events. No money laundering. No selling of items or access you do not have the right to sell. No attempts to interfere with the platform or other people's accounts.

To the extent permitted by Nigerian law, 9jaGlobal Media Limited is not liable for losses arising from an event's cancellation, quality, or conduct. Our responsibility is to run the funding, ticketing, and refund process described here.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated to registered users.
